“You’re already famous, now you’re going to make me famous,” photographer Lawrence Schiller said to Marilyn Monroe as they discussed the photos he was about to shoot of her in 1962. “Don’t be so cocky,” Marilyn replied, “photographers can be easily replaced.”
If you’re in New York for the next month or so, head down to the Steven Kasher Gallery and see these wonderful photographs from the shoot of Marilyn Monroe’s final and unfinished film Something’s Got To Give. Many of the fifty + photographs featured in the collection have never been seen before and only recently uncovered in Lawrence Schiller’s archives.
